Desde que comunicou a alteração de Downtown Disney para Disney Springs em março de 2013, todos queriam saber quando a mudança de nome iria finalmente acontecer. Na próxima terça-feira, 29 de setembro, o nome Downtown Disney não terá completado 20 anos após substituir a Disney Village.
A mudança de nome será um dia antes da abertura do Morimoto Asia Restaurant em 30 de setembro, e apenas alguns dias após a inauguração da Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar em The Landing. Os demais restaurantes, segunda estrutura de estacionamento, e a nova área Town Center serão abertos em 2016 para completar o projeto.
